Parking Citations

The violation notice and fine amount may be returned by mail, personally or by an authorized person to Harford County Government, Revenue Collections, 220 South Main St, Bel Air, MD 21014.

If properly returned with the correct fine, no court appearance is necessary.

A court hearing may be obtained upon written request within 21 days of the violation issue date to Harford County Sheriff’s Office, Traffic Unit, 45 South Main St, Bel Air, MD 21014.

Payment Options

Pay by Web: Visit www.childsafetyprogram.us, select Pay Fine, enter Access Code (citation number) and PIN. Click Log In button.

Pay by Phone: Call toll-free 1-800-457-1788 between 8:00am and 5:00pm CST, Monday through Friday. Please have your citation number and credit card ready.

Pay by Mail: Check or money order should be made payable to Child Safety Program c/o Harford County and mailed to: Child Safety Program c/o Harford County, PO Box 2141. Dothan, AL 36302

Include the citation number and vehicle and vehicle tag number on your check or money order TO ENSURE PROPER CREDIT. DO NOT SEND CASH.

**If you have a court date scheduled, payment is due same day at District Court by 4:30pm EST.**

Traffic Citations

All Traffic Citations issued in the State of Maryland can be paid by the clerk’s office in any District Court in the state. Information on mailing your payment can be found on the right side of the citation.

Repair Orders

If you received a repair order, you must have the issue corrected and inspected within 30 days. If the listed defects are marked with an *, any Law Enforcement officer in the State of MD can inspect your repair and sign the order. If your vehicle defects are NOT marked with an *, you must take your vehicle to an authorized inspection station.
