Deputies with the Harford County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Warrant Apprehension Unit and law enforcement officers with the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force (CARTF), arrested a 17-year-old wanted in a fatal shooting that took place on Friday, April 3, 2026, in the 1900 block of Eloise Lane in Edgewood. A violent attack that left Bryan H. Burrows Jr., 20, of Edgewood dead and a second victim wounded.

Early in the investigation, detectives identified the shooter as A’maree Curbeam, a 17-year-old male from Edgewood. Over the following months, investigators with the Criminal Investigations Division continued to build and corroborate evidence, while the Warrant Apprehension Unit worked to locate Curbeam.

On Tuesday, August 25, 2026, law enforcement located Curbeam at a residence in Baltimore City and took him into custody without incident. He was transported to the Harford County Detention Center, where he is currently being held without bond.

Following the arrest, Detectives with the HCSO CID executed a search and seizure warrant at the residence and recovered a firearm. The investigation into whether the handgun is connected to this or any other criminal activity remains active and ongoing.
