Detectives investigate two unrelated incidents

Harford County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Detectives investigate two unrelated incidents that occurred last night.

On Tuesday, April 14, 2026, around 6:13 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of Mayberry Drive in Aberdeen for a reported fight involving knives. Deputies arrived and located a 19-year-old male who had stabbed in his leg. The victim was then transported by Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to a local hospital, where he was interviewed by Detectives. The investigation remains active, but at this time, it is believed that the victim was involved in a physical altercation with people known to him when the stabbing occurred. The victim is expected to survive his injuries.

Shortly after the stabbing incident in Aberdeen, around 6:15 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a local hospital for a reported shooting victim. Detectives interviewed the victim, a 44-year-old male, who advised he was in the 1000 block of Plaza Circle in Joppa when he was shot by an unknown male after a brief interaction. The victim was struck in his lower body and has been released from the hospital.

Both incidents are believed to be isolated and unrelated. The investigation was assumed by detectives with the HCSO Criminal Investigations Division and Investigators from the Forensic Services Unit. Both investigations remain active and ongoing.
