Deputies Investigating Non-Fatal Shooting in Aberdeen

Detectives with the Harford County Sheriff’s Office are investigating after an adult female was shot in the Perrywood area of Aberdeen.

On Sunday, May 21, at approximately 12:15 a.m., deputies assigned to the Southern Precinct of the Harford County Sheriff’s Office responded to area of the 200 block of Perrywood Court for the report of the sound of a gunshot. Upon arrival deputies located evidence of a shooting at the location, but no victim. At approximately 12:35 a.m., deputies were called to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center to make contact with a walk-in victim of a shooting, identified as Shemeka Crawford, age 31, of Edgewood, Maryland. The victim was reported to have been shot while outside in 200 block Perrywood Court by unknown suspects. After speaking with the victim, she was taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma for further care of her non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation was assumed by Detectives from the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division. Investigators from the Forensic Services Unit responded to collect and preserve physical evidence in support of the investigation.

The investigation is ongoing. There are no further details being released at this time.
