Harford County has implemented Stage 1 of Maryland’s reopening plan

Furthermore, in accordance with the measures Governor Hogan has placed to help the citizens of Maryland to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the Harford County Sheriff’s Office will immediately SUSPEND:

  • All outside programs and visitation at the Harford County Detention Center,
  • All public access and use of the community rooms and tours at the HCSO precincts, and
  • All HCSO community outreach programs (including Citizen’s Police Academy, PLEDGE Program, Active Shooter Training, HOPE House, etc.).

The Family Justice Center is open, but you will need to use the intercom system, as the lobby also has restricted access.

As always, if you are experiencing an emergency please dial 911.

All of these measures will be in effect for the next two weeks and will be reassessed as to if they will need to be extended.

We encourage you to visit www.harfordcountyhealth.com, or coronavirus.maryland.gov, for additional information and updates about COVID-19.

Thank you and stay safe.
