Harford County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Detectives investigate a non-fatal shooting in Belcamp where one adult male was wounded.

On Monday, August 17, 2026, around 11:00 PM, a Deputy assigned to the Southern Precinct of the HCSO was on an unrelated call for service at a local hospital when a male arrived at the hospital with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim, a 22-year-old male, suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his upper body.

Initial investigation indicates the shooting occurred on Caldwell Court North in Belcamp, and the victim was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle. At this time, the incident appears to be isolated. Detectives from the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division have assumed responsibility for the investigation. As part of their initial response, detectives conducted a comprehensive canvass of the surrounding area to identify witnesses and gather additional information. They are actively working to identify potential suspects and establish a motive.

Specialists from the Forensic Services Unit processed the scene and collected physical evidence to support the ongoing investigation. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
