The Harford County Sheriff’s Office is releasing additional details regarding the shooting that occurred shortly after midnight on July 5, 2026, during a large party at a private residence in Fallston, Maryland.
Deputies responded to the chaotic and rapidly evolving scene in the 2300 block of Willow Vale Drive after receiving reports of a shooting. Prior to the incident, the Sheriff’s Office had not received or responded to any calls for service related to the party.
The homeowner was not present at the residence during the party and was notified shortly after the incident. The residence was not being used as an Airbnb. The party was organized by the homeowner’s adult son, and information obtained by investigators indicates that tickets for the party were sold through an online app. Armed security personnel had been contracted for the party and were on‑site at the time of the shooting.
At this time, the victims have been identified as Jordan Jennings, 23, of Windsor Mill, who died of his injuries at a local hospital, and Joseph Evans, 34, of Owings Mills, who remains in stable but critical condition. Both victims appear to have been shot outside the residence.
The motive and circumstances remain under active investigation. No charges have been filed at this time, and detectives are continuing to evaluate physical evidence, witness statements, and digital data to determine who discharged the firearms and to establish the trajectory of the rounds fired.
The investigation remains active and ongoing, with witness interviews and forensic analysis continuing. Due to the large number of attendees from Washington DC, Baltimore, and outside Harford County, this process will take time.
