A man is dead after a crash Thursday evening in Harford County.

On March 5, 2026, at approximately 7:10 p.m., deputies assigned to the Patrol Division of the Harford County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the scene of a single vehicle crash on Thomas Run Road near Edwin Drive. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Bryan Schneider, 39, of Bel Air, was transported to a local hospital and declared deceased. Schneider was the only occupant of the vehicle.

Preliminary information gathered at the scene indicates that the vehicle left the roadway for an unknown reason, struck a utility box and then a tree. Currently, speed is believed to be a contributing factor.
Deputies assigned to the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Crash Team responded to the scene to assume the investigation into the cause and circumstances of the crash. The investigation is active and ongoing. No further information will be released at this time.
