On November 8, deputies responded to the same store for another theft involving the same suspect. During this incident, the suspect stole an expensive kitchen appliance and more clothing, totaling around $600.00.
A few days later, DFC Younts located the suspect’s vehicle at a motel in Edgewood and was able to contact the suspect who was staying at the motel. The suspect was identified as Paulaina L. Nechay, 34, of Halethorpe Maryland.
While speaking with DFC Younts, Nechay confessed that she attempts to steal $500 to $600 worth of merchandise from retail stores daily. Nechay advised that she steals from retail stores all over Maryland to support her drug habit. Nechay advised that she often steals the merchandise and instantly sells the items at gas stations for half price.
Nechay was arrested and taken to the Harford County Detention Center. She was later released on a $3,000.00 unsecured bond. The Harford County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the criminal activites of Paulina L. Nechay.
