On March 16, 2021, at approximately 7:50 p.m., deputies assigned to the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Southern Precinct responded to the Rise Dispensary in Joppa for a report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, deputies were informed an unknown male was able to gain access to the business after hours and assaulted the employee. The suspect then stole an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the area.
On November 13, 2023, at approximately 5:06 p.m., the Harford County Sheriff’s Office again responded to the Rise Dispensary in Joppa for a report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with an employee of money currier service company that was collecting an undisclosed amount of cash from the business. The victim advised one of the suspects pointed a firearm at him during the robbery. The registration displayed on the suspect vehicle was later found to be stolen.
At this stage in the investigation, detectives believe both of these robberies are connected and committed by the same individuals. Detectives are continuing to review evidence and re-interview witnesses from both events.
