Man in Critical Condition Following Crash in Darlington

[December 28, 2015, Darlington, MD] A Darlington man is in critical condition following a crash early Sunday morning.

On December 27, 2015, at approximately 4:37 a.m., Harford County Sheriff’s Office deputies assigned to the Northern Precinct responded to the scene of a serious motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Granite Road and Maple Drive in Darlington, MD.

Information gathered at the scene indicates the driver of a 1997 Chevy 4S was traveling south on Granite Road, when the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and strike a utility pole. The driver, identified as Ryan Thomas Gentry, age 22 of Darlington, was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma by Darlington Volunteer Fire Company. He is currently listed in critical condition. There were no other passengers in the vehicle.

The Harford Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit responded to the scene to investigate the cause and circumstances of the crash.
