Jarrettsville Man Stabbed

Deputies are investigating, and an adult male victim is recovering, after an apparent stabbing.

On April 22, 2023, at approximately 10:45 p.m., Patrol Deputies from the Northern Precinct of the Harford County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 3900 block of Rush Road, Jarrettsville in reference to a domestic assault. Once deputies arrived on scene, they located an adult male victim suffering from non-fatal stab wounds to the back of the head and right leg. There was a second victim, an adult female, on scene suffering facial injuries from a physical assault. Both victims were transported to Wellspan York Hospital for treatment of their injuries. The suspect fled the area on foot prior to deputies’ arrival on scene.

Detectives from the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division responded and assumed the investigation. After an extensive search of the area, the suspect was not located. Currently, there is an active search continuing.

The initial investigation indicates the suspect was known to both victims and is a relative. The stabbing occurred as a result of a disagreement that escalated to a physical assault. The suspect was last seen wearing a red flannel shirt, grey or light blue pants, and armed with a knife. The suspect has been identified as Mark Daniel Pickett (W/M, 5-09, 160lbs, DOB 02/08/1997) and there is currently a warrant for his arrest for attempted murder and both 1st and 2nd degree assault.
