Homicide Suspect in Custody Following Fallston Shooting

[September 1, 2016, Fallston, MD] A suspect is in custody following a domestic related shooting that occurred Wednesday night in Fallston.

On August 31st, at approximately 11:38 p.m., deputies from the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Northern Precinct responded to a residence located in the 2300 block of Windswept Court for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies located a female victim suffering from multiple gun shot wounds to the upper body. Deputies assumed life saving measures until the victim was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center by Fallston Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Company, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

The deceased is identified as Lara Muscolino, 48, of the 2300 block of Windswept Court, Fallston, Md. The body has been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore where an autopsy will be conducted to confirm the cause and manner of death.

While deputies were at the residence, the suspect, Ricardo Muscolino, 54, of the 2300 block of Windswept Court, Fallston, Md. turned himself in to the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Northern Precinct Duty Officer. Ricardo Muscolino was detained pending further investigation.

The Harford County Sheriff’s Office, Criminal Investigations Division, have assumed the investigation. Detectives assigned to the Forensic Services Unit responded to process the scene for evidence.

Investigators continue to investigate a motive; however, preliminary information indicates this was a domestic incident between a husband and wife. The couple’s three children were at home at the time of the incident, but were not injured.
