The Harford County Sheriff’s Office has announced an indictment in connection with a murder that occurred on June 9, 2021, in Edgewood.
At approximately 11:47 p.m. on the aforementioned date, deputies from the Southern Precinct of the Harford County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a shooting in the 6200 block of Edgewood Road. Upon arrival, deputies discovered an adult male, identified as Jarmil Christopher Stewart, 20, of Edgewood, suffering from a gunshot wound to the lower body. Despite immediate life-saving efforts by deputies and subsequent medical intervention, Stewart was pronounced deceased at the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center.
The investigation was assumed by detectives with the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division. Through investigation, detectives developed probable cause to charge suspect, Journay George Tucker, 46, of Edgewood with murder.
The investigation is ongoing, no further information will be released at this time.
