Harford County detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred in Bel Air on Monday morning.

On May 30, 2022, at approximately 5:25 am., patrol deputies assigned to the Northern Precinct of the Harford County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 1900 block of North Fountain Green Road for the report of shots fired. An adult male victim aged 23 was located inside an apartment suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. Medics arrived on scene and pronounced the male subject dead.

The investigation was assumed by detectives from the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division. Investigators from the Forensic Services Unit responded to the area to collect and preserve physical evidence in support of the investigation. Currently, while the motive remains under investigation, detectives do not believe this to be a random act.

The identity of the victim is not being released at this time pending next of kin notification. The investigation is active and ongoing. No further information will be released at this time.
