Harford County Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in Edgewood.

On Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at approximately 7:42 a.m., patrol deputies assigned to the Southern Precinct of the Harford County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 600 block of Longwood Court in Edgewood for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival at 7:44 a.m., deputies located the victim, identified as Tyrell Orlando Polley, 33, of Edgewood suffering from gunshot wounds to the body. He was pronounced dead on the scene. The investigation was assumed by Detectives from the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division. Investigators from the Forensic Services Unit responded to the area to collect and preserve physical evidence in support of the investigation.

The investigation is in its early stages and remains active and ongoing. The circumstances and motive regarding the homicide remain under investigation. No further information is being released at this time.
