Deputies Investigate Fatal Vehicle Crash

An Edgewood man is dead and another seriously injured after a motor vehicle crash Saturday morning in Harford County.

On October 5th 2019, at approximately 2:37 a.m., Harford County Sheriff’s Office deputies assigned to the Southern Precinct were dispatched to the scene of a crash near the intersection of North Stepney Road near Aldino-Stepney Road. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a single vehicle collision involving three occupants. The HCSO Traffic Unit then responded and assumed the investigation into the cause of the crash.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Jennifer Anne Keen, 38, of the 3100 block of Aldino Road in Churchville. Keen was transported by medics to the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. One of the passengers, identified as Christopher Clark Deon, 49, of Grempler Way in Edgewood was deceased at the scene. A third occupant was flown to Shock Trauma, and is listed in critical condition. The identity of that passenger is being withheld pending notification to family members.

Preliminary information gathered at the scene indicates that Keen was operating a 2017 Volkswagen, when the vehicle left the roadway striking a tree.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has any information regarding the incident is asked to contact the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit at 443-409-3324.
