All applicants will be processed with an MVA check, a criminal history check, and a check of minimum education/experience requirements. The following are minimum qualifications that the applicant must possess:
- 21 years of age (18 years of age for Corrections and Civilian)
- High school diploma or GED recognized by the Maryland State Board of Education
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with 10 years of verifiable U.S. Residency
- Possess a valid driver’s license with no more than 3 points
- No convictions for DWI/DUI
- No PBJs for DWI/DUI within the past 3 years
- No criminal convictions on record
- Any Probation Before Judgment on a criminal record must be expunged prior to hire date
- Visible tattoos are permitted as long as they are not on the face or head and are not offensive, indecent, extremist, racist or sexist.
