CORRECTIONAL DEPUTY

Employee is assigned to the Harford County Detention Center with primary responsibility for maintaining security and custody of the inmate population.

POSITION IS ENTITLED TO A $15,000 RECRUITMENT INCENTIVE PAYMENT UPON HIRING AND COMPLETION OF TRAINING ACADEMY AND FIREARMS QUALIFICATION or $20,000 UPON COMPLETION OF FIELD TRAINING AND FIREARMS QUALIFICATION FOR APPROVED LATERAL TRANSFERS (all are pending funding availability). $5,000 RELOCATION INCENTIVE ALSO AVAILABLE UNDER SELECT CRITERIA.

The Correctional Deputy position starting salary is $27.06 per hour/$56,285 annual and it has opportunities for overtime, compensatory time, holiday pay, uniform allowance and shift differential for evening and midnight shifts.
