Detectives Seek Suspect in Bank Robbery

[December 30, 2015,Abingdon, MD] Detectives with the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division are seeking a suspect in connection to a bank robbery that occurred early Wednesday afternoon in Abingdon.

On December 30, 2015, at approximately 2:00 p.m., Harford County Sheriff’s Office deputies assigned to the Southern Precinct responded to the scene of a reported bank robbery in the 3400 block of Emmorton Road in Abingdon.

Information gathered at the scene indicates the suspect entered the Har-Co Credit Union shortly before 2:00 p.m. and approached the teller. The suspect implied that he was armed, demanded cash and fled with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured during the robbery.

Patrol deputies, with assistance from K-9 units and Troopers with the Maryland State Police, canvassed the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division arrived on the scene and assumed the investigation, which is ongoing.

The suspect is described as a black male in his late 30s, approximately 5’8″ weighing around 180 pounds. His face was covered and he was wearing a dark jacket and dark pants at the time of the robbery.
