Shemar Mekhi White, 23, of Abingdon, has been charged with multiple offenses in connection with yesterday’s pursuit and assault on HCSO deputies. In addition to numerous traffic violations, White is also charged with:

• Assault First Degree
• Malicious Destruction of Property (two counts)
• Assault Second Degree

After being released from the hospital, early last evening, White was transported to the Harford County Detention Center, where he continues to be held without bail. The source of White’s minor injuries remains undetermined at this time.
