Deputies arrest 66-year-old David Williams for a homicide that occurred yesterday in Abingdon.
On Monday, June 30, 2025, at approximately 10:45 p.m., deputies assigned to the Southern Precinct of the Harford County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) were dispatched to the 2800 block of Bynum Overlook Drive in Abingdon for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a 64-year-old female, suffering a gunshot wound to her upper body. Deputies immediately began life saving efforts; however, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The investigation was assumed by detectives with the HCSO Criminal Investigations Division. Deputies from the Forensic Services Unit also responded to assist. Through investigation, detectives were able to determine that the victim’s husband, David Williams, 66, of Abingdon, shot the victim once in the upper body.
David Williams was transported to the Harford County Detention Center and was charged with First Degree Murder and various firearm violations. After an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner, David Williams was held without bond.
