Deputies Investigate Fatal Crash

A man is dead after a single vehicle crash late Wednesday night in Harford County.

On May 26, 2021, at approximately 10:01 p.m., deputies assigned to the Southern Precinct of the Harford County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the scene of a single vehicle crash on Falconer Road in the area of Red Haven Court in Joppatowne. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a 2016 Toyota RAV4 overturned in the northbound lane of Falconer Road. The driver of the vehicle, and sole occupant, identified as Aman Singh Sihota, 58, of Joppa, was declared deceased on scene by medics with the Joppa Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company.

Preliminary information gathered at the scene indicated Sihota was traveling southbound on Falconer Road when his vehicle struck the curb, spun, left the roadway and struck a tree, before overturning and coming to rest in the northbound lane.

Deputies assigned to the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Crash Team responded to the scene to assume the investigation into the cause and circumstances of the crash. Preliminary evidence indicates speed was a factor. Sihota was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The investigation is active and ongoing. No further information will be released at this time.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or has any information regarding the incident, is asked to contact the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit at 443-409-3324.
