Three Charged in Deception Burglaries

Three men were charged in recent distractions burglaries that occurred in the Bel Air area.

Detectives from the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division led investigations into two Deception Burglaries that occurred earlier this month. The first occurred on February 18, 2021, in the 300 block of Lakeside drive in Bel Air. The second on February 19, in the 1300 block of Moores Mill Road, also in Bel Air, MD. The scam involved the criminals pretending to be contractors to gain access to the victim’s home. In each case, the suspects claimed to be from BGE, and asked for entrance into the home to check on the status of their meter. Once they were given access to the house, they took the opportunity to steal valuable items from the home. No one was injured in either burglary.

Following the initial patrol response, both investigations were assumed by detectives from the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division. Investigators from the Forensic Services Unit responded to the locations, to collect and preserve physical evidence in support of the investigation.
After diligent investigation, and collaboration with allied agencies, three suspects were identified. Nicholas Williams, 22, Angelo Bimbo, 25, and Marchello Miguel, 19, all with New Jersey addresses were taken into custody without incident, in Baltimore County. Detectives charged all three accordingly and warrants were served on February 26, 2021. They are currently being held at a Baltimore County detention facility on similar charges.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. No further details are being released at this time. Anyone with information about this crime, or feels they may have been a victim, is asked to call the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division at 410-836-5442.
