Man Hospitalized Following Edgewood Shooting

[April 13, 2018, Edgewood, MD] Harford County Sheriff’s Office Detectives are seeking information regarding a non-fatal shooting that occurred Thursday night in Edgewood.

At approximately 9:29 p.m., deputies assigned to the Southern Precinct of the Harford County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 500 block of Ponderosa Drive in Bel Air for the report of a subject with a gunshot wound.. The subject, identified as Jamar Timothy Sanders, 29 of Aberdeen, was located with a gunshot wound to his leg after he had walked away from the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center where he initially sought treatment. Medics from the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company responded ,treated Sanders at the scene and subsequently transported him by ambulance to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center for treatment of what is reported to be a non-life-threatening injury

The investigation was assumed by detectives from the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division.

The initial investigation indicates the shooting occurred in the area of Crimson Tree Way and Brookside Drive.
