The Law Enforcement Cadet position is trainee level law enforcement work for individuals between the ages of 18 and 21.The Cadet will experience various duties and responsibilities performed by sworn personnel in preparation for and anticipation of the Cadet’s acceptance and entry into the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Academy. A Cadet who has reached the age of 21 is only eligible to serve in such a position until acceptance and entry into the next available Law Enforcement Academy Class. Employment will be terminated if the Cadet cannot successfully enter and complete the Academy.
