Sheriff's Deputies Arrest 2 in Assault and Robbery

[April 25, 2013, Edgewood, MD] — Harford County Sheriff's deputies have arrested two men in connection with an assault and robbery, which occurred earlier today in Edgewood. Rodney Dion Williams, 33, of 1856 Simons Court, Edgewood and Steven Michael Mack, 34, of 44 E. Bel Air Avenue, Aberdeen, have each been charged with robbery, theft and second degree assault.

On Thursday April 25, 2013 at 2:30am, Kendall Norman, 50, of Joppa, reported to deputies he was visiting a relative on Crimson Tree Way in Edgewood. He was approaching the apartment when he was confronted by the two suspects who assaulted him and punched him in the face several times. The suspects then took his cash and cell phone. At the time of the reporting additional deputies were patrolling the area and located two individuals they believed may have been involved. Mr. Norman positively identified the men as the two suspects who attacked him. Deputies subsequently recovered Mr. Norman's cell phone and cash from the suspects. Both men were placed under arrest. Williams and Mack were transported to the Harford County Detention Center, where after their initial appearance before a Harford County District Court Commissioner, Williams was detained on $100,000 bond and Mack is being held without bail.
