Attempted Robbery in the Rear of the 200 Blk. of Brierhill Dr, Bel Air

[March 8, 2013, Bel Air, MD] — On Friday, March 8, 2013 at approximately 8:11 am Deputies of the Harford County Sheriff's Office responded to the Dollar Tree Store in the 200 blk of BrierHill Drive for an Attempted Armed Robbery call.

Upon arriving at the scene, Deputies found that a Dollar Store employee, Mr. Barry Lasley had stepped outside in the rear of the store to empty trash when he was approached by a white male who demanded his wallet. The suspect pulled a pocket knife and waved it toward Mr. Lasley causing a superficial wound to Mr. Lasey's side. Mr. Lasley was able to push the suspect away. The suspect, who was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and gray sweat pants fled the area on foot. The area was searched for the suspect who is still at large at the time of this writing.

Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company responded to the scene, but Mr. Lasley declined medical care. The investigation is ongoing.
