Internships

The Harford County Sheriff’s Office offers summer, winter, and spring internship opportunities on a regular, as needed basis and accepts applications from individuals who are :

College or university students in good standing.
Presently enrolled or about to enroll in a course which specifically requires an internship.
Recommended by the professor/instructor requiring the placement.

Those meeting the basic criterion will be offered the opportunity to complete an application and be afforded an interview. A favorable recommendation and background investigation may then lead to placement within one of the agency’s divisions for 80-100 service hours. This is a competitive process based upon the student’s knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as the specific needs of the Sheriff’s Office. Requests for placement into specific units or subject areas will be considered but are not guaranteed.

Interested parties can submit the attached application and accompanying documentation to Lt. Javier Moro Moroj@harfordsheriff.org. Questions can also be directed to him through email or by phone at 410-638-3860.
