Property Management

The Property Management Unit maintains the agency's inventory of evidence including physical evidence, photographs, documents, lost/found property, seized drugs, and guns which are recovered by members of the Harford County Sheriff's Office. Annually the unit processes more than 3,500 evidence items valued at about $74,000 and more than 800 drug submissions. The unit also maintains a database of all items traded through the licensed pawnshops in Harford County. Currently 28,000 pawn transactions are processed annually. The data is a valuable resource for locating stolen items and developing investigative information. Both law enforcement and civilian personnel currently staff the unit. Answers to a number of frequently asked questions are available on the HCSO Frequently Asked Questions page.
